WHAT WE DO
Savio Solar Māʻili is committed to a transparency and inclusivity in developing our project. We aim to be responsible neighbors and land stewards by rooting our project in community input. Unlike traditional energy development that happens behind closed doors, we will co-design our project with Oʻahu residents.
- A community advisory council (CDAB) has been formed to advise on equitable and culturally appropriate project design
- Public co-design events – to enable all Oʻahu residents to learn about and share their opinion on project decisions
- Proactive Environmental Justice outreach – to local community-based organizations, particularly in low income and historically marginalized communities, spreading awareness and access
Co-design is the process of collaboratively designing an output with multiple stakeholders.
What can community members give input on?
Many aspects of the project need community input – including site selection, layout and equipment selection, and benefit design.
Who is our community?
This project is for all Oʻahu residents so we welcome participation from anyone. We will focus particularly on including residents adjacent to the project site, and low income and historically marginalized groups.
Why should you join our co-design?
If you are interested in being a future co-owner in this project, come help us make sure we are building something you want to be a part of!
